Industry Session: Camera – NSC conversation with Eva Kraljević and Jean Counet
Industry Session: Camera – NSC conversation with Eva Kraljević and Jean Counet
Beschrijving

For the third year, the Netherlands Society of Cinematographers (NSC) and IDFA organize a professional talk. Using the example of Sundance-winning documentary To Hold a Mountain, Croatian DoP Eva Kraljević and Dutch DoP Jean Counet NSC will discuss visual language, inspiration, intuitive filmmaking and signature.

How do camerawork, angles, style and rhythm relate to the film, and her broader work? Where and how do DoPs create meaning? The moderator will guide the conversation with these inspiring cinematographers, also asking how they push the expressive possibilities of their art.

The NSC aims to support its members creatively, technically and socially in their working environment. Founded in 1994 by Dutch DoPs according to international standards, the level of interest from the profession has been high ever since. The majority of (the approx. 300) Dutch DoPs, whether working in the Netherlands or abroad, are now active or associated members. Active membership is by invitation to those who have demonstrated quality in their profession. All the members adhere to the NSC Code of Honor.

Moderator: TBC

Speakers: Eva Kraljević (DoP, To Hold a Mountain), Jean Counet NSC (DoP)
