Arctic Film Norway presents five distinctive documentary projects in progress, showcasing the creative diversity and storytelling talent emerging from Northern Norway.

From a deeply personal journey into Russia during wartime to an unexpected dance across disappearing Nordic communities; from a wildlife filmmaker confronting his own vulnerabilities to an absurdly funny exploration of human-seagull relations; and a courageous woman’s struggle to reclaim her voice after childhood abuse – these films offer strikingly different perspectives on what it means to be human.

Spanning intimate personal narratives, creative documentaries and observational storytelling, the selection challenges expectations of what stories from the Arctic can be.

The showcase offers an exclusive opportunity for sales agents, distributors, broadcasters and festival programmers to discover five promising works in progress and meet the filmmakers behind them.

Presented by Arctic Film Norway and moderated by international film curator Dorota Lech, the showcase is followed by an informal networking session with the filmmakers.

The Delegation Showcase is followed by informal networking at De Balie.
