IDFA Consultancy - Film in Mind
IDFA Consultancy - Film in Mind
Description

Film in Mind is a therapy, ethics and care consultation service for filmmakers. Founded in 2018 by Rebecca Day, a psychotherapist and former documentary producer, the organization works to address mental health challenges faced by filmmakers across the sector. Services include therapy, film supervision, psychological consultations, workshops and speaking events. All our ethics and care consultants have a combined background in the independent sector and psychological training.

We are a co-founder, alongside The D-Word and Malikkah Rollins, of DocuMentality, an international research project on the mental health issues faced by documentary makers in the current climate. We also collaborated with Peace is Loud on participant care resources and are proud members of the Documentary Film Council. We have spoken about mental health, mentored filmmakers and advocated for change within the industry at events and workshops such as IDFA, IDA Getting Real Documentary Conference, CPH:Dox, CIRCLE Doc Accelerator Lab, WIFTV, Berlinale EFM Toolbox, BAFTA Connect and Sheffield DocFest.
