IDFAcademy Talk: How to collaborate in a (co-)production
IDFAcademy Talk: How to collaborate in a (co-)production
Description
Entering a co-production is an important decision that opens doors to funding and new partnerships. It also raises many questions with regards to contracts, budgets and creative control, and forces partners to deal with and understand different realities. How to deal with the different economic realities and available funding in co-production countries? How can partners support each other when war and geopolitics take a toll on financing and production strategies?

Producer Palmyre Badinier will share her views and experiences in an introduction to international co-production.

Followed by a conversation on the journey into the making of Songs of Slow Burning Earth (dir. Olha Zhurba, Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden, France) with producer Darya Bassel (Moon Man, Ukraine) and co-producer Anne Köhnke (Final Cut for Real, Denmark).

Moderated by Selin Murat.
