Gift Science Archive was a long-term collaborative performance initiated by Sands Murray-Wassink in 2019, which took up feminist citational methodologies as the foundation for building an archive of materials from across the artist’s art/life practice. Though the project formally concluded in Spring 2022, Gift Science Archive remains active as a useable digital database, a collective of people, and a fierce feminist demand to center the messiness and subjectivity of dialogic exchange in processes of remembering.
Join Murray-Wassink and collaborators Megan Hoetger and Radna Rumping for an afternoon of live painting set to the rhythms of a deep house soundtrack and accompanied by a group dive into the artist’s ‘gay’ archive as a collaborative gesture against erasure.
