In addition to its VPRO Preview Day, the broadcaster also presents two specials screening at IDFA 2026.

VPRO Extra: De documentaire van de toekomst (Dutch spoken)
VPRO is celebrating its 100th anniversary. A great moment to look back—but VPRO would rather look 100 years ahead. During this special VPRO x IDFA evening, host Bahram Sadeghi takes you on a journey from iconic clips and disruptive moments in VPRO’s documentary history to sneak previews of films and programs yet to come. What stories are still waiting to be told? Note: The VPRO Extra program is in Dutch.

VPRO Extra: De documentaire van de toekomst, on Tuesday, November 17, at 20.00 in Kriterion 1.

VPRO Cinema Live: The Siege of Paradise + Talk
Before the screening of The Siege of Paradise, Cesar Majorana will talk with director Gar O’Rourke about his inspiration, ideas, browser history, and his latest film: a sharp and witty documentary about the impact of mass tourism on Italy’s Cinque Terre, as seen through the eyes of its residents.

VPRO Cinema Live: The Siege of Paradise + Talk, on Sunday, November 15, at 20.30 in Eye 1.
