Diego Herguera Acosta studied at the ETSABarcelona (UPC). He worked for several years at the Mies van der Rohe Foundation designing exhibitions for the Venice Biennale, among others, before founding his own art and architecture studio, estudio el palmeral. After independently producing short films, he began working on the production of the feature animation Sultana’s Dream by Isabel Herguera. He now leads Sultana Films, an independent animation studio and production company based in Donostia, founded by Isabel Herguera to produce her first feature. An avid believer in DIY, he is continuously implementing new ‘digital artisanry’ techniques, mixing analog with digital, and he is currently working on implementing AI as another tool within the creative process.
