Figure is a two-minute short, made by our youngest filmmaker this year. About an artist’s mannequin coming to life, searching for boundaries and dancing with his shadow. A beautiful search for identity, personal space and its confines. JessZilla is a coming-of-age film about a young, ambitious, funny girl who loves boxing and wants to turn professional. To be the best, but also to provide for her family. Her father tries to help her any way he can. We see her grow older, work harder and become more successful every year. Until one year she finds out, the hard way, that not everything in life is feasible.
