At 21, Nathan Law awoke a generation to demand democracy promised to them by peacefully shut down Hong Kong for 79 days. While awaiting trial, Nathan started his own political party and at 23, became the youngest lawmaker in Hong Kong’s history. Nine months later, the government sent him to prison in an attempt to quash his democracy movement. But when the government tried to pass a law allowing dissidents to be extradited to China, the next generation of protestors inspired by Nathan took to the streets believing that violence is their only option. Who's Afraid of Nathan Law? is the next chapter of Joshua: Teenager VS. Superpower, a film that won the Audience Award at Sundance in 2017.Â
