Ileana Stanculescu has been coordinator of the international documentary film festival CinéDOC-Tbilisi since 2013. She studied at the film academy Konrad Wolf in Potsdam Babelsberg (Germany). Ileana Stanculescu graduated with the documentary The Bridge (Podul peste Tisa, 2004), which won, among other prizes, the First Appearance Award at IDFA and was selected by major festivals. Her documentary Satul sosetelor (2006) received the co-production award of the Robert-Bosch-Stiftung and was nominated for the Joris Ivens Award at IDFA. Ileana produced the Georgian documentary Akhmeteli 4 (2006), directed by Artchil Khetagouri, awarded the Prix Regards Neufs at the Visions du Réel Film Festival and winner of the main award at the Rhodes Film Festival in Greece.
Ileana works for the Noosfera Foundation since 2011 and coordinates workshops such as Docstories Black Sea (co-funded by the Media Mundus Program of the EU), in partnership with IDFAcademy. Other workshops coordinated are: CinéDOC-School workshops for Georgian teachers who screen and discuss documentaries in class, CinéDOC Summer School for filmmakers from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, New Talents Caucasus training and pitching sessions, Film Mentoring and Film Support Program for documentary filmmakers from the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
Maria Vittoria Pellecchia
Maria Vittoria Pellecchia is Artistic Director of Laceno d'Oro International Film Festival, founded by Pier Paolo Pasolini in 1959. She takes care of numerous festivals, including Matera Film Festival (as co-founder and senior programmer); FeelMare, a Lazio Creativo 2017 winning project (as artistic co-director), Cinema di raccordo for Teatro Tor Bella Monaca, network of Theaters in the City of Rome (as film programmer).
As a theater actress and playwriter, she has worked from 2011 to 2017 with the theater company La casa dei racconti, directed by Duccio Camerini. In 2015 she won a scholarship for production at Enerc - Escuela Nacional de Experimentación y Realización Cinematográfica in Buenos Aires. From 2016 to 2018 she worked as cinema programmer and acquisition assistant for Satine Film Distribution. Since 2019 she works for film productions as development manager. Since 2022 she works for the production company Stemal Entertainment, directed by Donatella Palermo.
Paweł Ziemilski is a film director and producer based in Warsaw. His films include In Touch (Best Mid-Length Documentary IDFA 2018), Urban Cowboys (2016), and Rogalik (Special Jury Mention Oberhausen 2013). Ziemilski is a lecturer at The Polish National Film School in Łódź, where he runs an experimental documentary lab. Since 2021 he is also a tutor for Kids Kino Docs, a development workshop for documentaries addressed to young audiences. Ziemilski co-runs the film studio MX35.
