Tatiana Huezo loves films that make you think—or even leave you confused. Which is exactly what Sueño does: this ultra-short film, consisting of a single moving shot and a distinctive soundtrack, is dreamlike and slightly disorienting.

Following the violent death of her father, a school student in El Salvador is torn between anger and fear. The law of the street also rules the classroom. Perhaps the most important lesson they learn at school is “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil."

In 2009, 8-year-old Brandon was abducted from the street. Like thousands of other Mexicans, he disappeared without a trace. Six years later, his mother Lulu is still searching for him.

In their simple home in the Mexican countryside, Petra, Francisca, and Antonio talk about their unusual marriage. A pure and deeply honest portrait of a loving patchwork family in a place where the concept is still unheard of.
