Today, LGBTQI+ people from multicultural backgrounds still experience intersectional issues including homophobic and xenophobic discrimination, language barriers, and restricted access to mental and physical healthcare, to name just a few such challenges. Often, they also have to navigate between different cultural, religious and social frameworks and contexts. The foundation Stichting Prisma Groep was set up to support LGBTQI+ people, offering community gatherings and buddy programs.

Specially for this screening, the foundation is inviting activists from its network for a post-screening discussion of Queer as Punk: an energetic, infectious film about the queer punk band Shh... Diam! from Malaysia.
