Opening film: A Picture to Remember

The opening film of IDFA 2023 is a personal, essay-style account of the war in Ukraine, as viewed through the prism of three female generations. The Kyiv-based filmmaker uses old family films in her attempt to bridge the distance between her and her grandmother in Donetsk. Check out all the screenings of the film.

Best of IDFA: Audience Favorites

Each year, IDFA audiences select their favorite documentaries by rating films for the NPO IDFA Audience Award. Some of the best-rated films will be screened during a full day program. Get your tickets for the program.

Best of IDFA: Award Winners

A selection of the best films from IDFA 2023, especially compiled into a full day program. All the films included in this program received an IDFA award, selected by an international jury of professionals from the film and art world. Get your tickets for the program.
