Four women attend therapy sessions in the mountains of Ukraine, each hoping to recover from their own deeply traumatic experiences of the war. With the help of the female counselors at the chalet, they learn how to relax again and how to cope with their trauma, while gradually regaining confidence and forming friendships with one another.
In her mind, dancer Ira from Mariupol can still hear the bombs that hit her home and the screams of her neighbors, and she fears she will never enjoy dancing again. Yulia devotes her attention to the prosecution of the Russian perpetrators who held her captive for two long years, torturing her with appalling cruelty.
Alongside restrained, observational footage of the deeply personal therapy sessions, the camera follows the women over the course of two years as they resume their lives outside the chalet and, as far as possible, try to reclaim the lives they led before the war. Slowly, the women make progress, demonstrating extraordinary resilience and perseverance.
