Revisit DocLab at the Planetarium
The evening 'DocLab at the Planetarium: Homes Unbound' presented full-dome adaptations of works by Gregor Petrikovič and Queer.Space, and a full-dome project by Emese Pálovics. Thanks to ARTIS-Planetarium and WeMakeVR for making this evening possible.

What makes a 'home'? Three works challenge, subvert, and reconstruct our understanding of personal and collective spaces.
In Bad Trip by Emese Pálovics, we step into the childhood memories of a young man: a 'bad trip-like' series of events, where generational trauma lingers, and signs of bad habits are scattered around the house.
With the live social VR experience DOLLHOUSE for Queer Imaginaries, Queer.Space invites us to disrupt the traditional, heteronormative concept of the nuclear family home. Presented in tandem with a physical dollhouse at the DocLab exhibition in de Brakke Grond, this special full-dome version (presented in collaboration with WeMakeVR) is performed by the artist, both on stage in the planetarium and in virtual reality.
Finally, Sincerely, Victor Pike weaves together memory and home, as Gregor Petrikovič weaves audio recordings of loved ones into a collective narrative. Using AI-generated visuals, the work captures the essence of shared experiences, and the nostalgia tied to our sense of ‘home’, prompting reflections on how memories shape our sense of belonging.
