Looking Back at History
A creative and intimate approach to history is at the heart of the films in this pathway. Some directors delve into the lives of their parents or grandparents, while others confront their own fears as they explore the recent history of their countries. Other filmmakers reimagine the past by uncovering the stories of those who witnessed it firsthand. Together, these fascinating films challenge stereotypes and offer new perspectives and insights into history, even for those already familiar with these subjects.
