IDFA for professionals

The 37th edition of IDFA will take place in Amsterdam from 14 to 24 November 2024 and offers a comprehensive programme for professionals. Looking for information on accreditation, guest services, festival venues, transport and accommodation, key festival dates and the guest list? Here you will find all the practical information you need for your participation at IDFA.

IDFA offers a film, new media and special industry program. The selected films and new media projects will be announced in September and October. The full industry program will be available online from 25 October.

The field of immersive and interactive media is rapidly evolving, with professionals from diverse disciplines such as artists, creative technologists, curators, researchers, and producers shaping its future. IDFA's section for new media, DocLab, is helping to lead the way by scouting, commissioning and showcasing the best interactive and immersive documentary works. Top projects will be showcased in the annual DocLab exhibition and live public and industry events in November. 

IDFA aims to support the creative work of filmmakers and create a space for free artistic expression. Through several programs and funding schemes, filmmakers can develop their projects, their careers, and themselves. During IDFA, there is a special programme for IDFAcademy participants. Also, a number of films from the IDFA 2024 selection have been supported by the IDFA Bertha Fund. More information to follow in October.

IDFA organises two key markets for filmmakers, producers and industry professionals: IDFA Forum and Docs for Sale.
