Below you will find an overview of all locations during IDFA 2024, including accessibility information. Check out Google Maps to see all locations.
Public transport
In Amsterdam trams, metro's and busses usually run from early morning until midnight. There are night busses to cover nighttime travel. Pay for your trip just as easily as your paying in the store. You can check in and out on all public transport with your contactless debit card, credit card or mobile phone. Pre-registration or downloading an app is not necessary.
Traveling by public transport? Then check the GVB app or the GVB website to plan your route.
Accessibility at screenings
Do you have reduced mobility or are you a support worker visiting the festival with someone in a wheelchair? After you have purchased your tickets - so before going to the cinema or festival location - please send an e-mail to service@idfa.nl. Feedback on how we can improve our accessibility is also welcome at this email address.
Cinemas & event locations
ARTIS Planetarium – Plantage Kerklaan 38-40
- Wheelchair accessible.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available.
- Unfortunately, assistance dogs are not allowed in ARTIS.
- In the Planetarium, staff members can assist visitors in finding a good spot for wheelchair users.
- There is no telecoil available.
- There are five disabled parking spaces in the ARTIS parking lot.
Bijlmerbios – Bijlmerplein 888
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Wheelchair spaces are available inside the theater on the side.
- Adapted toilet is available.
- No hearing induction loop is available.
Cinema de Vlugt – Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan 125
- Wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator next to the stairs.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available in the cafe.
- In the cinema on the first floor, a wheelchair space can be made available upon request. Please reserve in advance via the chatbox in the lower right corner of IDFA.nl or by emailing service@idfa.nl.
- There is no telecoil available.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- There is a disabled parking space in front of the theater.
De Balie – Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen 10
- Wheelchair accessible. The main entrance of the building has an elevator. All rooms are accessible via stairlifts.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- In the cinemas, wheelchair spaces are available upon request.
- There are no disabled parking spaces nearby.
- There is no telecoil available.
De Kleine Komedie - Amstel 56 -58
- The building has limited wheelchair access.
- Assistance for lifting a wheelchair inside is available from the staff.
- No accessible toilet available.
- Officially trained service dogs are welcome; please notify us in advance.
- The nearest disabled parking is on Amstel, at number 14.
- An audio system for the hearing impaired is available at the reception desk.
DeLaMar Theater – Marnixstraat 402
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- In the cinemas, wheelchair spaces are located in the first tier. There are spaces for an attendant as well. Please reserve in advance via the chatbox in the lower right corner of IDFA.nl or by emailing service@idfa.nl.
- Mobility scooters cannot enter the screening room; you can change to a regular chair or use a borrowed wheelchair.
- There are two toilets for wheelchair users available: one in the Grand Cafe and one in the Red Foyer.
- Both earbuds and an induction loops are available, although the induction loop is not guaranteed to work with all hearing aids. You can borrow the earbuds and the induction loop at the cloakroom.
- The street in front of the main entrance is car-free, but exceptions can be made to drop off people with disabilities in front of the theater. The parking garage Q-Park Europarking on the Marnixstraat has two disabled parking spaces.
@droog - Staalstraat 7B
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Officially trained service dogs are welcome.
- The nearest disabled parking is at Waterlooplein Parking.
- No accessible toilet available.
Eye – IJpromenade 1
- The entire building is wheelchair accessible. The elevator to get to the reception desk is located to the right of the main entrance stairs. All floors of the building are accessible via elevator.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- Each cinema has two wheelchair spaces available, but they must be reserved in advance via the chatbox in the lower right corner of IDFA.nl or by emailing service@idfa.nl. In Cinema 1 the spaces are in the front row. In Cinema 2 they are in the back row.
- There are toilets for wheelchair users on floors in the basement, on the ground floor, on the first floor, and in the exhibition area.
- There is an induction loop in all four cinemas. If you require a reception box or neck receiver (depending on the hearing aid you use), this can be obtained from the front desk.
- There are two disabled parking spaces in the parking garage of the A'DAM Tower; it is recommended to take the exit 'A'DAM Tower' when leaving the parking garage, which has a wheelchair-friendly automatic outside door.
Felix Meritis – Keizersgracht 324
IDFA Markets, IDFAcademy for Professionals
- Wheelchair accessible; all rooms are accessible by elevator, except the Koepelzaal, Sterrenzaal, and Shaffy Foyer. The wheelchair access to the building is at the back of the building (Prinsengracht 473). Please inform staff before arrival to ensure a ramp is made available.
- There are two elevators in Felix Meritis: one in the hallway of the ground floor, and one in the stairwell.
- To get to Floors 2, 4, 6, 8: use the stairwell elevator.
- For access to: the hallway to Concertzaal, Restaurant, Zuilenzaal, Teekenzaal, Husly lounge
- Door size: width 88cm x height 209cm

- Max. 1000 kg 13 pers.
- To get to Floors 1, 3, 5, 7: use the elevator in the hallway of the ground floor.

- Wheelchair spaces are available in all rooms that can be reached by elevator.

Frascati – Nes 63
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Assistance dogs welcome in consultation with location staff.
- In the theater, wheelchair spaces are available upon request. Please reserve in advance via the chatbox in the lower right corner of IDFA.nl or by emailing service@idfa.nl.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available near the cafe.
- There is no telecoil available.
- There are no disabled parking spaces available nearby.
Het Documentaire Paviljoen – Vondelpark 3
- Wheelchair accessible via the elevator in the restaurant.
- There are two places for wheelchairs in the cinema on the front row.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available at the ground level via an elevator.
- There is no telecoil available.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- There is a disabled parking space next to the building.
Het Ketelhuis – Pazzanistraat 4
- Wheelchair accessible. The foyer, Cinema 2 and Cinema 3 are located on the ground floor. Cinema 1 is on the first floor and is accessible by wheelchair elevator. However, it has a limited size and is unfortunately not accessible for electric wheelchairs.
- In each Cinema, 1 wheelchair space can be created in the first row. Please reserve in advance via the chatbox in the lower right corner of IDFA.nl or by emailing service@idfa.nl.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available on the ground floor, next to the wheelchair elevator.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- The Ketelhuis offers listening support via MobileConnect in all cinemas.
- There is a disabled parking space next to Het Ketelhuis. This space can be entered from the Westergasbrug, then please report to the porter.
Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA) – Leidseplein 26
Festival Center for Professionals
- Wheelchair accessible. Mobility scooters are not allowed for safety reasons, you can change into a rental wheelchair.
- There are adapted elevators and toilets.
- The Rabozaal is accessible by an elevator, but there is a distance to cover to reach the Rabozaal.
- In the rooms, space has been reserved for wheelchair users and their companions.
- Trained guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome, please notify about them in advance at 020 624 23 11.
- Special hearing amplification is available. In the cloakroom, you can get a device (if you wear a hearing aid) or an earpiece (if you do not have a hearing aid).
Koninklijk Theater Carré – Amstel 115/125
- Wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator to the first floor (Loge foyer) and fourth floor (In de Nok).
- The Grand Café Carré on the ground floor is accessible to visitors with disabilities.
- It is not possible to enter the cinema with a mobility scooter. If you come to the theater with a mobility scooter, you can use a rental walker or wheelchair to get to your seat in the cinema. When the screening is finished, an employee will return the rental walker or wheelchair to your seat so that you can return to your mobility scooter. During the screening, we will park your mobility scooter near the cinema.
- In the cinema, there are three wheelchair spaces, next to which there is room for one or two attendants. These spaces are downstairs in the Stalles. Please reserve in advance via the chatbox in the lower right corner of IDFA.nl or by emailing service@idfa.nl.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available on the ground floor, on the left and right sides.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- Telecoil available (please inquire with theater staff in the cloakroom on the ground floor, deposit: €10). The theater has a telecoil with headphones and a telecoil that you can connect to your own hearing aid.
- There is disabled parking within 100 meters of the venue.
Kriterion – Roetersstraat 170
- Wheelchair accessible. The K1 cinema, where IDFA screenings take place, is on the ground floor. There are rooms for wheelchairs in the cinema along the aisles.

Meervaart – Meer en Vaart 300
- Wheelchair accessible.
- There is space for a wheelchair in the theatre. More wheelchair spaces can be added before the front row.
- There ia a toilet for wheelchair users on the ground floor.
- There is a telecoil available.
- Assistance dogs are welcome, please notify in advance.
- There are two special parking spots available at the entrance, and another four just around. the corner.
Pathé City – Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen 15-19
- Wheelchair accessible; all floors can be accessed by elevator, but to go to room 1, 2, or 3 a freight elevator must be used with a Pathé employee present.
- There is space for a wheelchair in every screening room. This space is always in the back row: in room 2 and 3 it is on the side of the back row; in room 4 in the middle of the back row.
- There are toilets for wheelchair users on the ground floor, second floor, and third floor.
- There is no telecoil available.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- There are two special parking spots available on Zieseniskade, 150-200m from the cinema.
Pathé Noord - Buikslotermeerplein 2003
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Subcatch and earcatch available
- All areas accessible by wheelchair.
Pathé Tuschinski – Reguliersbreestraat 26
- Wheelchair accessible (there is an elevator via the Arthouse entrance).
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- In the cinemas, wheelchair places are as follows:
- Tuschinski 1: there are 4 wheelchair spaces in the back row of the stalls.
- Tuschinski 2: there are 2 wheelchair spaces in the bottom row.
- Tuschinski 3: there is 1 wheelchair space in the 5th row from the top.
- Tuschinski 4: there is 1 wheelchair space in the top row.
- Tuschinski 5: there is 1 wheelchair space in the second top row.
- Tuschinski 6: there is 1 wheelchair space in the top in the 4th row from the top.
- Telecoils are available.
- The nearest disabled parking space can be found on the Amstel at number 30.
Podium Mozaïek – Bos en Lommerweg 191
- Wheelchair accessible. The cinema is located on the first floor and is accessible via an elevator.
- Accessible spaces in the cinema can be reserved in advance. Please reserve in advance via the chatbox in the lower right corner of IDFA.nl or by emailing service@idfa.nl.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available (please ask staff for key).
- There is a telecoil available.
- There is a disabled parking space behind the building.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
Rialto De Pijp – Ceintuurbaan 338
- Rialto is wheelchair accessible with an elevator.
- There is 1 wheelchair space in the room. The room is reachable through the elevator.
- There is a disabled toilet on the first floor. So take the lift to the first.
- Assistant dogs are welcome, but aisles in the cinema room have to be free.
- Across the Oranjekerk and in Tweede van der Helststraat there are disabled parking spaces.
- There is no hearing induction available.
Rialto VU – De Boelelaan 1111
- Wheelchair accessible.
- A toilet for wheelchair users is available.
- In the cinema, there are two places for wheelchairs in the first row.
- There is no telecoil available.
Stedelijk Museum - Museumplein 10
- Wheelchair accessible
- There is no induction loop.
- Disabled parking spaces are available at Paulus Potterstraat 13 and Q-Park Museumplein.
- It is not known whether there are wheelchair spaces in the screening room.
