Register for accreditation at early bird rate
Be the first to register for accreditation to gain access to the IDFA's film, new media and industry program, which is taking place from November 12 to 22. Until August 31, take advantage of the early bird accreditation fee for festival passes.
Depending on your accreditation, you can access the film program, immersive and interactive art, high-profile talks, networking events, consultancies, delegation showcases, the IDFAcademy training program, and IDFA’s Markets—IDFA Forum and Docs for Sale. IDFA’s Markets are at the heart of IDFA’s Industry Program—IDFA Forum and Docs for Sale.
IDFA Forum, IDFA’s co-production and co-financing market, brings together documentary and new media projects with producers, funders, distributors, sales agents, co-producers, and other industry representatives working in an increasingly selective financing landscape.
In 2026, the Forum introduces a renewed presentation structure with Pitch and Roundtable presentations, Rough Cut Screenings, and DocLab Forum, alongside one-on-one meetings across four days. By moving the pitch presentations to the DeLeMar Theater, which is close to other industry locations in the center of Amsterdam, the program will create more capacity for attendees and allow for a more concentrated setting for meetings and exchanges throughout the forum.
Docs for Sale, IDFA’s sales and distribution market, presents recently completed documentary films and series to buyers, programmers, distributors, and sales agents during the festival. Positioned alongside IDFA Forum, the market creates a dedicated space for discovery and acquisition at a moment when distribution models and audience trajectories are shifting.
Apply to training program IDFAcademy
For first- or second-time documentary directors and producers, IDFAcademy offers a four-day training program during IDFA focused on inspiration, connection, and exchange.
Connecting a community of around 100 filmmakers from across the world, the program combines talks, case studies, networking events, and access to the wider festival. Participants follow the program as a tight-knit group, creating space to exchange experiences, test ideas, ask questions, and gain insight into the realities of the international documentary industry.
