Students at IDFA
As a student, you can visit IDFA this year from November 14-24. All the films and new media projects that will be shown during the festival will be announced on October 15. The full program with times and locations will be known from October 30. That's also when the regular ticket sales start. We offer special rates for students.
Want to buy individual student tickets? You can do that from October 30 by creating a MyIDFA account using the email address of your educational institution. We then automatically apply the student discount rate.
Would you like to attend and moderate a special IDFA screening with your study or student association? Every year, IDFA offers students the opportunity to moderate Q&As with a filmmaker or protagonist during screenings at Kriterion and Rialto VU. Interested? Please contact reinate@idfa.nl.
Do you want to visit IDFA with a group of students? Once the program is ready, a form will appear on this page with a selection of screenings where you can fill in your choices and the number of desired tickets from October 14-21. Keep an eye on the website for this. This option is available for at least 20 people. If you want to come with a smaller group of students, you can buy individual tickets online at the student rate from October 30.
IDFA reserves the spots before regular ticket sales start on October 30. Once you send in the reservation form for student groups, it cannot be changed. We will send you an invoice for this. If you do not pay within the specified period, your reservation will be canceled. If you want to buy additional tickets after October 21, students can only do this individually via idfa.nl from October 30 at the start of the regular ticket sales.
