Synopsis

Wie bekend is met het werk van de Vlaamse theaterperformancegroep Ontroerend Goed weet dat je daarbij zelden rustig achterover kunt leunen. In £¥€$ (2018), werd het publiek zelf bankier in een oververhitte financiële markt. A Game of You (2010) was een confronterende gepersonaliseerde theatergame die elke bezoeker een spiegel voorhield.

In de nieuwe performance Handle with Care wordt theater teruggebracht tot zijn absolute essentie: er zijn geen acteurs, geen technici, geen decors. Geen regisseur. Alleen publiek, en een doos. Met wat ze in die doos vinden, maken de toeschouwers hun eigen performance. Hoe de avond zal verlopen weet niemand.

Het werk van Ontroerend Goed wordt sinds 2007 over de hele wereld opgevoerd, en kreeg remakes in het Frans, Mandarijn, Russisch en Kazachs. Handle with Care gaat op verschillende plekken tegelijk in première, en legt zo verbinding met toeschouwers over de hele wereld, zonder fysiek aanwezig te zijn.

Handle with Care is een coproductie met IDFA DocLab & de Brakke Grond en gaat wereldwijd in première in oktober-november 2025, in samenwerking met festivals en theaters uit verschillende landen
