Synopsis
In the highly original universe that Polish director and animator Katarzyna Miechowicz creates in Headprickles, it’s better not to ask why. A series of ultra-short scenes pass by: A man likes to listen to the song of his peach pits. A mermaid sculptor works underwater on a collection of sculptures of feet. Someone literally floats on his own sweat of fear.
Some situations recur, as if the characters are stuck in an absurd loop. Together they form a colorful audiovisual maze of fantasy, obsession, frustration, fear, delusion and wonder—everything that sometimes makes your head prickle.
